This Privacy Notice explains how Siftii ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when you use Siftii (the "Service"). We act as the data controller for the personal data described below.

1. Personal data we collect

Account data — name, email address, password (hashed), and any profile details you provide.
Business data — recipes, ingredients, customers, orders, market plans, and other content you enter into the Service.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, device and browser information, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP.
Support data — messages, screenshots, and information you share when contacting us.
Payment data — handled by our payment provider Paddle; we receive limited transaction metadata (plan, status, last 4 digits) but not full card details.

2. How we use personal data

We process the categories above to:

create and operate your account and deliver the Service (legal basis: performance of a contract);
provide customer support (contract);
keep the Service secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests);
improve the Service and develop new features (legitimate interests);
send you product updates and marketing emails if you have opted in (consent — you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or in your account settings);
comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax, accounting) (legal obligation).

3. Who we share data with

Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support tooling, and similar operational vendors, all under appropriate contracts.
Merchant of Record — Paddle, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and similar advisers, where necessary.
Authorities — when required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside your country of residence, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or rely on adequacy decisions where available.

5. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email privacy@siftii.com and we will respond within the period required by law (typically 30 days).

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the Service to function (e.g. keeping you signed in). We may use limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used; you can manage cookie preferences through your browser.
